Field Service Technician
(m/f/d) full-time, available immediately
Your Responsibilities
- Installing, commissioning and carrying out functional tests on FRANK-PTI laboratory testing instruments at customer sites
- Performing maintenance and repairs, analysing faults and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely by telephone or Microsoft Teams
- Carrying out service assignments, including structured documentation such as service reports, test and measurement records, and records of corrective measures and spare parts
- Providing calibration services for our instruments in accordance with customer- and instrument-specific requirements, including documenting the calibration results
- Instructing and training users in the operation and maintenance of the equipment and in basic troubleshooting
- Providing technical feedback to the Development and Product Management teams regarding fault patterns, potential improvements and recurring issues
- Supporting the Sales and Internal Sales teams with technical questions relating to applications, feasibility, spare parts and equipment modifications
- Planning travel and service assignments in Austria and throughout Europe in coordination with the Service Coordination team
Your Profile
- Completed technical vocational training, for example as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician, electrical engineer or industrial mechanic, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in technical field service involving complex instruments or machinery; experience with laboratory, measurement or testing equipment would be an advantage
- An interest in or experience with calibration and measurement or testing procedures, combined with accurate and traceable documentation skills
- Confidence in reading circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- A systematic approach to troubleshooting, a hands-on mentality and a customer-oriented manner
- Qualification as an electrical specialist would be desirable, or a willingness to obtain the relevant additional qualification
- Very good German language skills and sufficient English for technical communication; additional languages would be an advantage
- A high willingness to travel within Austria and Europe, including assignments lasting several days, as well as a valid Category B driving licence
- Confidence in using laptops and service tools; structured documentation should be second nature to you
